Frank Dougan, 77, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Midland Hospice House.

Frank was born January 18, 1928, in Topeka, the son of Louis Frank Dougan, Sr., and Mary Adams. He grew up in Topeka and spent time in California where he attended the Harvard Military Episcopal School. Frank returned to Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1946. He graduated from Washburn University in 1952. While attending Washburn he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After completing his undergraduate degree, Frank received his commission in the Air Force where he served for two years at the Warren AFB in Wyoming. Following his service, Frank returned to Topeka and attended Washburn Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1956.

Frank briefly practiced law in Topeka and went on to work in various fields including real estate, investments, and farming. Until his death he was an active participant in the management of the family farm in Silver Lake. He enjoyed numerous pastimes including golf and travel.

In 1962, Frank married Carol Colleen Priddy who survives. He is also survived by his brother, James Harper Dougan, his daughter, M. Jill Dykes and her husband, Christopher Dykes, and two grand daughters, Skylar and Hannah Dykes.

A funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Cathedral on Saturday, April 16, at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the church common room. A private burial at Maple Hill Cemetery is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Grace Episcopal Cathedral, Midland Hospice House, or the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Research Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home, Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd., Topeka, KS 66614.
